- Sales Manager/Director of Business Development- Laboratory Services
Somahlution, Inc. is a company engaged in advancing cutting-edge technologies in organ preservation and transplant medicine. Global Pharma Analytics, a subsidiary of Somahlution, Inc., is a FDA and DEA registered cGMP contract analytical chemistry laboratory located in Boca Raton, FL. Global Pharma Analytics Labs provides a wide range of professional services to support pharmaceutical, nutritional and specialty chemical companies, from analytical testing to, stability programs to, laboratory maintenance and support, as well as consulting services.
We are currently seeking a Director of Business Development- Laboratory Services. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this high profile position will be responsible for developing, closing and managing new relationships and other strategic partners. This individual will be the driving force behind the expansion of Global Pharma Analytical sales. The Director will have the opportunity to sell analytical services, method development, stability storage and product development services to the growing South Florida Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical and Biotech market.
Responsibilities
The duties specified below are representative of the range of duties assigned to this position and are not intended to be an inclusive list.
- Maintains an in-depth understanding of all functional and technical aspects of the services provided by the company
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
- Identify and resolve client concerns.
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherenceto goals.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments,information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
- Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
- Performs related duties as needed or assigned.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketingevents.
- Follow-up for collection of payment.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
- Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees.
Requirements and Education:
Degree in scientific discipline and 5+ experience in sales (non-scientific degreed candidates will be considered with requisite experience in chemical and biological disciplines).
- Ability to multi-task and work autonomously.
- Ability to act as a seasoned, experienced professional with an understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
- Foreign language skills: Spanish preferred.
- Ability to interact formally and informally with senior management.
- Ability to communicate with customer personnel, both technical and non-technical.
- Excellent written and verbal technical and non-technical communications skills.

- Associate Analytical Scientist, Chemistry
Somahlution, Inc. is a company engaged in advancing cutting-edge technologies in organ preservation and transplant medicine. Global Pharma Analytics, a subsidiary of Somahlution, Inc. provides contract analytical services to pharmaceutical, neutraceutical, and personal healthcare industries.
We are currently seeking an Analytical Associate to join our Analytical Services Department at Global Pharma Analytics in our Boca Raton, Florida facility. This position provides an opportunity to work in a corporate biotech environment.
Requirements and Education:
- Minimally requires a B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field with 2+ years of relevant industrial experience.
- The position requires hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, mass spectrometry, and wet chemistry techniques.
- Familiarity with Perkin Elmer LC and GC instrumentation, Thermo Ion Trap LC-MS, and UV/VIS spectroscopy will be a plus.
- Experience with analysis of pharmaceuticals, personal care products, neutraceuticals, and associated formulations are preferred.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate superior technical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Must have comprehensive communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills
- The ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects as well as the ability to converse effectively with all levels of employees
- Must be able to work well independently and within a cross-functional team environment and with strategic consultants
Responsibilities:
- The individual in this role will be highly motivated, working in a GMP environment with some supervision, and carrying out analytical testing of small molecules present in raw materials, final products, formulations, and degradation products.
- The individual should have experience in analytical methods development using HPLC and GC techniques.
- The successful candidate will participate in multiple tasks and projects with a problem solving approach.
- Reporting to the Director of Analytical Sciences, the Associate Scientist will be responsible for carrying out the testing and method development necessary to complete the contracted work.
- The incumbent will plan, carry out, and document testing pertaining to the assigned projects.
- The individual in this role will also be required to compile and analyze test information to determine process and equipment operating efficiencies and diagnose any malfunctions.
