Chairman
Dr. Dhaduk is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global Pharma Analytics. Dr. Dhaduk is an accomplished serial entrepreneur and is the Chairman of several Biotechnology Companies, many of which he cofounded, including, Apicore, Synerex Pharmaceuticals, Nuron-Biotech and Core-Pharma. Dr. Dhaduk provides leadership and guidance in the areas of product development, marketing, partner relationships, financial matters, and corporate governance. Dr. Dhaduk’s extensive background in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry is an important asset to Somahlution’s development and business plans.
Dr. Dhaduk is an actively practicing neurologist and is currently the Chief of Neurology at the Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. He studied medicine at the M.P. Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, India where he received Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees. His post-graduate medical training was conducted at the B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India and at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. where he also served as the Chief Resident in Neurology.
Dr. Dhaduk has received numerous honors in medical practice. Most notably, he received the David Dunn Memorial Award in 1986 and 1987 for Outstanding Teaching and Study of Neurology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He also serves on the Board of several professional organizations in neurology and medicine
Chief Executive Officer
Satish Chandran is the Company’s Chief Executive and a member of the Board of Directors since inception. Dr. Chandran is a distinguished biotech veteran with nearly 25 years of significant leadership experience in biotechnology. Dr. Chandran is also the Director of the Center of Excellence for Biopharmaceutical Research & Development, and Professor of Pharmaceutics at North Dakota State University engaged in developing a Biopharmaceutical Research Center with commercialization focus.
Until recently, Dr. Chandran was the Chief Technology Officer of the Nucleic Acid-Based Therapeutics Unit in the BioTx Division at Pfizer, in Cambridge, MA. Previous to Pfizer, he was a Professor at the Institute for Hepatitis and Virus Research in Doylestown, PA, and prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief scientific Officer at Nucleonics, the first RNAi-based biotechnology company, in Horsham PA, a company that he cofounded while on the faculty at Thomas Jefferson University’s Biochemistry Department.
Prior to founding Nucleonics Dr. Chandran headed up the DNA Vaccine Division of Wyeth-Lederle Vaccines (following acquisition of Apollon, a biotech company in Malvern, PA, where his group advanced multiple DNA vaccine-based product candidates in infectious diseases and cancer into clinical studies.
Dr. Chandran received his Ph.D. from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. He is a strategic consultant and a member of the Board of Directors for several emerging and established biotechnology companies.
Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Pachuk joined Global Pharma Analytics as Chief Scientific Officer and is a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. Dr. Pachuk has twenty years R&D leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors with expertise in both drug and vaccine development. She was involved in advancing multiple product candidates into the clinic.
Dr. Pachuk began her career with Apollon, Inc. developing oligonucleotide-based therapeutics, and subsequently DNA-based vaccines for both viral and oncology indications. Following the acquisition of Apollon, Inc. by Wyeth-Ayerst Research in 1998 she continued to direct several vaccine programs which resulted in several products being advanced into clinical trials.
In 2001 she co-founded Nucleonics, a biotech focused on the development of RNAi-based therapeutics. Until April of 2008, she was VP of Preclinical Research. For the past three years, Dr. Pachuk has lead biology efforts for Pfizer’s oligonucleotide therapeutic programs in the areas of oncology and metabolic disease and was a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Dr. Pachuk received her Ph.D. in molecular virology from the University of Pennsylvania and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at SmithKline Beecham.
Director of Analytical Service
Dr. Mahendra Suryan received a PhD in Physical & Analytical Chemistry from West Virginia University and subsequently pursued a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Maryland. He has over 20 years of experience in Analytical Sciences working at Pfizer, Wyeth, DuPont, and Perkin Elmer in leadership roles. His areas of expertise are in developing and applying chromatographic methods, mass spectrometry, and NMR spectroscopic techniques to chemical analysis and structure elucidation projects in the pharmaceutical, biotech, life science, and chemical industries. He currently heads the Analytical functions at Global Pharma Analytics.
Director of Operations
Ted Gilbert is a veteran of the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry with a proven ability to develop, implement, and maintain systems and relationships within areas of purchasing, business development, quality, manufacturing, research, and facilities management.
Through a career built in the Biotech/Pharma industry, Ted has become well versed in vendor qualification, project management, contract management, cGMP manufacturing, quality systems initiatives, and regulatory compliance. The entrepreneurial spirit has been ingrained in his thinking style as Ted worked his way up from lab management at an academic institution where we was in charge of the scientific equipment for 5 academic labs, to Quality Assurance manager where he supervised the production of a DNA Vaccine for Phase I and II clinical trails at Nucleonics Inc, working as the Operations Manager at Novasep where he was in charge of a 6 million dollar purchasing budget, and finally as the Director of Operations at C3 Labs where he runs their day to day operations.
Ted earned his MBA in Finance from LaSalle University. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA, and he possesses various Quality and Management related certificates.
